2022

This rug marked the beginning of my botanical explorations. Created for Fazo Quest — an open call by Fazo Project — my design was selected as one of three winners and brought to life by their skilled artisans in Mirzapur. The original artwork was a simple yet intentional arrangement of pressed flowers, later digitised and colour-mapped for textile production. Handcrafted using a mix of high-grade New Zealand wool and bamboo silk, the 4x6 ft rug features 16 colours and a variety of textures. It attempts to immortalise delicate blooms through fiber, evoking nostalgia while gently inviting the natural world into our living spaces.
